This policy explains what Lingo7 does with information about you. Lingo7 is operated by SEYU LLC, a Florida limited liability company. It covers the website at lingo7.net and the Lingo7 mobile application (together, the “Service”). Questions go to [email protected].
We do not collect your precise location. We do not read your contacts, photos or calendar. We do not use advertising identifiers, we run no advertising trackers, and we do not record your screen or your session.
The website sets no advertising cookies, and we do not use it to build a profile of you or to target advertising. It stores in your browser only what it needs in order to work.
We do measure the website with Google Analytics, so that we can tell which pages people find useful and how many of them go on to the app stores. Google Analytics sets its own cookies and receives, among other things, your IP address, the pages you open on our site and the fact that you clicked a store button. We do not send it your name, your email or anything you read or write inside the app, and we do not use it for advertising. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or by blocking the script in your browser; the website works the same either way.
Some elements of our pages, such as web fonts, are delivered by third-party networks. Because your browser fetches them directly, those providers receive the standard information that comes with any web request, including your IP address. We do not send them anything about you beyond that.
To produce a parallel translation, to read a text aloud and to discuss a chapter with you, the relevant passage is sent to the translation, speech and language-model providers we work with, which process it on our behalf in order to return the result. Please do not put information into the Service that you would not want processed this way.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with:
We are based in the United States, and your data may be stored and processed there and in other countries where we or our service providers operate. By using the Service you understand that your data may be transferred outside the country you live in.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active, and afterwards only for as long as we need it for legitimate business purposes or to meet a legal obligation. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove your data from the active Service; copies held in routine backups are cleared as those backups are rotated.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect your data against loss and unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Where the law requires us to notify you of a security incident, we will.
You can see and change your account details and learning data in the app. You may also ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account — write to [email protected] from the address on your account, and we will respond within a reasonable time. Deleting your account is free and needs no reason.
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, write to [email protected] and we will delete it.
We may update this policy. If a change materially affects you, we will give notice in the app or by email before it takes effect. The current version always lives at lingo7.net/privacy.html, with the date of the last change at the top.
